Guesthouse Winterhalter gets a new identification.

 

On October 7, 2015 TeachBeyond officially opened the new “Janz B&B”. The building was formerly a guesthouse operated for over five decades (1957 – 2008) by Käthe Winterhalter. For the son, and later mayor (1996-2013), Bernhard Winterhalter the guesthouse holds many memories.

The Winterhalter guest house is a piece of local history. After prolonged vacancy Bernhard Winterhalter brought the house back into shape. His mother’s desire was for Janz Team to use the building since many of the previous guests were associated with the mission organization or were visitors to Black Forest Academy.

In January 2015 TeachBeyond, formerly known as Janz Team, began discussions with Mr. Winterhalter to rent the building.

On October 20, 2015 the Janz B&B welcomed its first guests.
